Dr. Binayak Sen, Research Director, BIDS will be in the New York during 24-25 October, 2012 to participate in "The Expert Group Meeting on Inequality". This visit will be supported by The United Nations Development Programme.

Dr. Minhaj Mahmud, Research Fellow, BIDS will be visiting Monash University, Australia  during 10-22 October, 2012 for conducting research work. His visit is supported by Monash University.

Dr. Md. Yunus, Senior Research Fellow, BIDS will be in Sri Lanka during 29 October-2 November, 2012, to participate in an international workshop on "ESCAP-ADB-SASEC Stakeholder Workshop". The workshop is organized by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia ad the Pacific (UNESCAP).

Dr. Mustafa Mujeri, Director General, BIDS, will be in Colombo during 22-23 October, 2012 to participate in an international workshop on "Supporting Policy Research to Inform Agriculture Policy in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia". His visit will be sponsored by Global Development Network (GDN).

Dr. Monzur Hossain, Research Fellow, BIDS will be in Colombo during 10-13 September, 2012 to participate in an international workshop on "Experimental Design on Savings Payments Research: South Asia". The event is organized by IPA (Innovations for Poverty Action) of the Yale University, USA.

Ms. Tahreen Tahrima Chowdhury, Research Associate, BIDS will attend an International Course on CGE modelling in Kathmandu during 27-31 August, 2012. The course is organized by South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE).

Wajid Hasan Shah, Research Fellow, BIDS will attend a conference on "Impact and Policy Conference: Evidence in Governance, Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship" in Thailand during 30 August - 1 September, 2012. The workshop is organized by The Asian Development Bank.
