Dr. K.A.S Murshid, Director General, BIDS delivered a public lecture on “From Test Case to Development Paradox: The Bangladesh Story” at Colgate University, Hamilton, New York on 24 September 2015. He talked about how Bangladesh has turned into a Low Middle Income Country from a ‘basket’ case. Dr. Murshid highlights Bangladesh’s unique development journey and points to key factors that have contributed to it. In his lecture, he throws an academic question, is the Bangladeshi case an exceptional one or is that a model that can be replicated elsewhere successfully
