Dr. K.A.S Murshid at the Global Research Consortium on Economics Structural Transformation (GReCEST) Conference.

Dr. K.A.S Murshid, Director General, BIDS attended the Global Research Consortium on Economics Structural Transformation (GReCEST) Conference on 13-14 December,2017 in Beijing, China.

The two-day conference focused on mutual learning sessions on structural transformation initiatives among consortium members, deliberation on consortium bylaws, composition of steering committee and work plans, identification of thematic areas and working groups, followed by panel discussions on critical topics concerning economic structural transformation. Dr Murshid was a discussant in the session titled Rural and Structural Transformation. He was unanimously elected as a member of the Steering Committee of GReCEST for two years.
