A 7-member IMF Mission led by Dr. Lynge Nielsen, Senior Economist, Strategy, Policy and Review Unit, visited BIDS on 11 November, 2015. The delegation met with a 4-member team from BIDS led by its DG, Dr. K.A.S. Murshid and jointly reviewed emerging economic development challenges facing Bangladesh, as part of Article 4 consultations being currently conducted by the International Monetary Fund. There were no significant differences in opinion between the two sides with regard to the overall macroeconomic analyses or challenges faced.
