Obituary
BIDS announce with great sadness the sudden death of Ms. Simeen Mahmud on 19 March, 2018. Ms. Mahmud joined the Institute in 1974 and retired in 2008 as a Research Director. She was a demographer by training but also wrote extensively on microcredit, health, employment and gender issues.
