Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) has been ranked as one of the top 100 think-tanks worldwide, according to the 2020 Global Go to Think Tank Index (GGTTI). 

BIDS has moved 10 notches up in the 2020 Top Think Tank Worldwide and 3 notches up in the 2020 Top International Development Policy Think Tanks among more than 8000 think tanks across the globe. This ranking is prepared by University of Pennsylvania.

In the year 2020 BIDS published a total of 28 journal articles depicting the effect of Coronavirus on life and livelihoods of people, Food Security and Agriculture, the use of Information & technology in society and the current trend of Bangladesh Economy etc. This achievement of BIDS has been highlighted in the top newspapers of Bangladesh.
