BIDS Workshop on "Economics of Honesty" Held
BIDS held a Workshop on “Economics of Honesty” on 22 December, 2019 at the Seminar Room. Three papers were presented at the Workshop titled “Honest Agents in a Corrupt Equilibrium” by Dr. Fahad Khalil, University of Washington ; “Honesty, Ability, Norm, and Socioeconomic Status: Experimental Evidence from Bangladesh” by Dr. Minhaj Mahmud, BIDS and “Who wants to be a Politician?” by Dr. Pushkar Maitra, Monash University. Dr. Dina Tasneem (American University of Sharjah), Dr. Ananta Neelim (RMIT, Melbourne) and Binayak Sen (BIDS) were the designated discussants for the workshop.
The seminar was attended by academics, policy makers, development practitioners and BIDS researchers. Dr. K.A.S. Murshid, DG, BIDS chaired the workshop.
